Sergeant Major Villalino began his Marine Corps career in June of 1986. He attended recruit training at MCRD San Diego. Upon completion of recruit training, Sergeant Major Villalino reported to NAS Millington, TN to attend Military Occupation School to be trained as an Aviation Structural Mechanic on the KC-130 Hercules.

Sergeant Major Villalino reported for duty at MCAS Cherry Point, NC and was assigned to Marine Aerial Refueler Squadron (VMGR) 252 in March of 1987. There he worked as an Airframes Mechanic and was meritoriously promoted to Corporal in April 1988. In December of 1989, then Sergeant Villalino was transferred to VMGR-352 at MCAS El Toro, CA.

In August of 1990, he deployed with VMGR-352 to the Middle East in support of Operations DESERT SHIELD and DESERT STORM.

In June 1993, he reported to Recruiter School and upon graduation, was assigned to Recruiting Station Orange County, CA. He served as a recruiter at Sub Stations Lakewood and Long Beach. He was then assigned as NCOIC of Recruiting Sub Station La Puente and Whittier. In 1995 he was meritoriously promoted to Gunnery Sergeant.

Upon completion of recruiting duty in 1996, he was once again stationed with the Raiders of VMGR-352, the squadron later moved from El Toro to Miramar, CA. During this tour he served as the Airframes NCOIC and Division Chief and deployed to Mombasa, Kenya for Operation NOBLE RESPONSE in 1996. Then in 1998, he served as the Detachment NCOIC in Incirlik, Turkey in support of Operation NORTHERN WATCH.

In August 2000, Sergeant Major Villalino was transferred to MCBH Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii and assigned to 1st Battalion 3rd Marines as Company C First Sergeant. In March of 2002, he deployed with Company C, to Basilan, Philippines in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM PHILIPPINES. In August of 2002 he became Headquarters and Service Company First Sergeant.

In February of 2004, Sergeant Major Villalino reported for duty as 3rd Radio Battalion, Company A First Sergeant. In February of 2005, he was promoted to his current rank and was assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 463 as the squadron Sergeant Major. Sergeant Major Villalino deployed to Iraq in February 2006 with HMH 463 in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM 05-07. Sergeant Major Villalino assumed the duties as the Sergeant Major of Marine Aircraft Group 12 located in Iwakuni, Japan in February of 2008.

Sergeant Major Villalinos Personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (2nd Award), Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2nd Award), Joint Service Achievement Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3rd Award).
