Storm Water Permits
The Municipal General
Permit:
The Municipal
General Permit is a storm water general permit issued to small
Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s) to regulate
discharges from these systems to the surface waters in
compliance with EPA water quality standards and the federal
Clean Water Act.
To comply with
the Permit requirements, the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma,
Arizona has developed a Storm Water Management Plan (SWMP)
that includes the required minimum control measures specified
by ADEQ. Throughout the Permit period, the Air Station will
evaluate the Best Management Practices (BMPs) and the
measurable goals stated in the SWMP, in order to ensure
program effectiveness. Click here for

The
Construction General Permit (CGP):
The CGP
authorizes storm water discharges from construction-related
activities that disturb one or more acres of land and where
those discharges have a potential to enter surface waters or
the MS4. Applicants are required to:
·
Prepare and implement project’s specific Storm
water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
·
Submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) to ADEQ; and
·
Submit a Notice of Termination upon completion
of the project when final stabilization of the land has
occurred.
The
Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP)
The multi-sector
general permit (MSGP) is designed for discharges of storm
water from certain industrial sites that are of a
non-construction nature. The MSGP is one large permit divided
into numerous separate sectors. Each sector represents a
different type of activity and is dependent upon its standard
industrial classification (SIC) code or narrative description.
To obtain coverage, a Storm Water Discharge Management Plan (SDWMP)
must be completed and a Notice of Intent (NOI) to discharge
must be submitted to ADEQ.
